Meet our TeamNewhey are proud to have recently supplied carpet to voco Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa, an IHG Hotel. This stunning historic country house hotel is set in 22 acres of picturesque countryside and is located an hour from central London.
Newhey worked closely with Janine Powell of Hampton Design Studio who selected four designs for the guestrooms and corridors. Over 3,200 square metres of carpet was manufactured in heavy contract quality and at 4 metres wide in 80/20 wool nylon.
A mixture of stock and bespoke products were ordered. A bespoke graphics design was specified for the main guestrooms and two colourways from the ‘Curio’ stock collection selected for the corridor areas.
As part of the barn conversation, which is where the newly refurbished Spa is located, Natural Earth Collection and Natural Wool Collections were specified which was in-keeping with the beams and all together rustic style of the building. These collections contain 100% undyed wools, with no chemicals or colour dyes applied, this truly is a sustainable product.
All our carpets are manufactured with evobac, a sustainable secondary backing produced from post-consumer PET. Every square metre of carpet diverts at least 8 plastic bottle from going to landfill or entering our oceans. This project alone has diverted over 26,000 plastic bottles.
