Strand Palace Hotel London

This multi-million pound investment saw the new Superior and Deluxe guestrooms decorated in a calming, neutral palette. Newhey’s designers worked in partnership with Herfordshire-based international interior design company Trevillion Interiors, to create the perfect carpet design for this iconic hotel.

The initial release in early March involved all rooms and corridors on the hotel’s ninth floor, with the eighth floor released in early June and seventh in September with further floors following suit. The hotel’s ground floor will undergo renovations with the full refurbishment set to be complete by April 2020.

All carpets were manufactured exclusively by Newhey Carpets in the UK.

The ongoing project saw Newhey design and manufacture over 3,000 square metres of carpet at 4 metres wide with a further 5,000+ square metres supplied throughout 2018.

All Newhey products are manufactured with ‘evobac’, a secondary backing made from recycled plastic bottles. Compliant with all standard British and European regulations for flammability and performance, evobac also offers a comprehensive range of benefits for installers including ease of handling, which is guaranteed through decreased risk of scuffing skirting-boards and paintwork. Other key benefits are improved anti-fraying properties, reduced wear on blades when cutting and compatibility with all traditional installation methods.
