Sustainability is also an important requirement for many interior designers and developers when specifying products. You can select our carpets with a clear conscience as all our backing materials are made from 100% recycled PET post-consumer plastic.

How evobac is made

Made from recycling plastic bottles – just one square metre prevents at least eight from going to landfill or entering our oceans. In one year that equates to 20 tonnes.

1 Plastic bottles are shredded into flakes.
2 The flakes are converted into tape and woven.
3 Next polyester fibre is needled into the woven tape.
4 The result — evobac.

How do we apply Evobac?

On the world’s first hot melt carpet backing line. Breaking tradition by moving away from a traditional latex system we use a high strength thermoplastic bonding agent.
